The best thing you can ever do is start something from the ground up. It forces you to know all of the in’s’ and out’s of a business idea. However, you need to always keep one thing in mind : Why are you in this business? You must always ask yourself this. When you get asked, shut your eyes, think about the question, and daydream for a few minutes. Allow the thoughts to swell up inside of you, like a bottle ready to pop. What you will really notice is that you are starting your entrepreneurial ventures or business for a reason, or a few reasons that dominate all of the others.
For me, with my first businesses, I did this same procedure. I did not only do it for 5 minutes. I would nearly dream for an hour about what I was building, and see the future of it. Luckily for me, my real “why” was that I wanted to learn. In specific, i really, really wanted to learn marketing. i wanted to learn the ins and outs of advertising for locals business and be able to help them as much as possible. This is why a friends and I were able to start a Painting company, landscaping company, writing company, a limo company any many more. We have completely managed to run these businesses and delegate tasks like the pros, learning in the process. I went on to start many businesses with the same intentional curiosity. Most of my businesses came into play, with little overhead. i was luck that this was the case. Later on, some of my business were started with what I next wanted to learn.
I wanted to learn how a brick and mortar shop ran, so I decided that it would be my next venture. I started up a frozen yogurt chain in australia and other countries, and it was such a challenge! It took a lot of hard work but I eventually figured out what to do and how to make a shop run. then, my investments came in the form of things like gyms, restaurants, nightclubs and other franchises. it was an incredible experience. You should be able to see where I am going with this. Your businesses are your life! You should be using them as a win-win situation to learn, have fun, live your passions, and make money at the same time! Its such an incredible experience.
